It is a curved inflatable seat, 160 x 65 cm, that turns one corner of a platform into somewhere to sit back rather than lie flat, and where you put it decides how the rest of the deck gets used. Most decks are in their bags by now, so the layouts below are for the first warm weekend of spring. ## What the Relax Corner is Think of it as the end of a sofa without the rest of the sofa. The curve gives you a backrest and an armrest in one, so you can sit up with a drink, lean into it with a book, or stretch out along the deck with your shoulders supported. Like our platforms, it is built from 0.9 mm PVC with drop-stitch support, and it is easy to move across the deck once inflated. It can be used on its own, but it comes into its own as part of a layout. Loose on the water it would drift with the first breath of wind. Depending on how the yacht lies to her anchor, she will throw shade across that end for part of the day, and the corner becomes the place people retreat to from the sun without going back aboard. This is the evening layout: the deck becomes a terrace and the corner is the best seat on it. Wait until the yacht has settled on her anchor and the deck has found its angle before you commit, because the view moves when the boat does. **A lounge for the afternoon.** Pair the corner with a [Twin Luxe Daybed](https://dockee.it/product/twin-luxe-daybed), which is 220 x 150 cm, and set them at opposite ends of the deck. The daybed takes the people who want to lie flat in the sun; the corner takes the ones who would rather sit up and talk. Leave a strip along one side to walk between them. More pieces in the same spirit are in our [lounge collection](https://dockee.it/category/lounge). ## Securing it and bringing it in Whichever layout you choose, the routine for setting up and packing away stays the same. 1. **Set up the deck first.** Inflate and secure the platform alongside before anything goes on it, in calm, sheltered water and with the engines and thrusters off. 2. **Inflate the corner aboard.** Fill it to the pressure stated in the product instructions, then carry it down to the deck rather than launching it from the water. 3. **Place it and tie it.** Put it where the layout needs it and secure it with a short line, so a gust cannot lift it over the edge. 4. **Watch it when the wind changes.** A curved seat catches more wind than a flat cushion. If the breeze builds, lay it on its back or bring it aboard. 5. **Bring it in before the deck.** At the end of the day, take the seating off first, then the platform. Rinse everything with fresh water and let it dry before it goes back in its bag. The corner needs little care beyond that. Keep it out of strong sun when it is not in use and store it dry over the winter, and it will be ready for spring with the rest of the deck.
